For the first time since the inception of the Elevate Ballers League, a new team has taken home the crown.
From their first game, Nexus imposed their will and emerged as a favorite to win The Championship alongside former champions Advance HM, Lokoz and High Schoolers Dagoretti High.
However, after a few matches, it became more obvious that this would only end with Nexus and Advance battling it out.
Nexus treated the fans with a flurry of amazing plays, methodical passing, excellent finishes, and a fun, in-your-face style of play and confidence. Their discipline and trust in their process and capability were something to behold, remaining unfazed even in critical moments of the game.
Coached by Ben Kanyotu, a calm and collected coach, with keen attention to the game, Nexus made it to the big stage and capped off their maiden run with the much-coveted Elevate Ballers League Crystal Trophy!
